The easiest way to reach CEFPAS is through the international
airport of Catania which is about 100 km away and it takes
around one hour to get there. Roads are very good.
Alternatively, the airport of Palermo is approximately 140
km away and it takes about two hours to get there. Both
journeys are very pleasant as both cut across the island
through marvellous landscapes and various geo-climatic
zones. However, we suggest, for practical reasons, that
arrivals and departures take place from Catania.
Bus transportation
Comfortable
buses are available from both sites: from Catania airport,
buses reach Caltanissetta non stop along a smooth-flowing
highway. From Palermo, instead, there is a change of buses
at the Central Station, but it is not difficult. The
approximate time needed from Palermo’s airport to the
Palermo Central Station is about 40-50 minutes or more,
depending on the time of the day as, at particular times,
traffic can be very heavy.
Costs for public
transportation (SAIS Company) are quite reasonable. At the moment the
prices are as follows:
-
Catania Airport-Caltanissetta Central bus station is
C 7,40
-
Palermo Airport-Palermo Central Station is
C 4,80 by
bus,or
Palermo Airport-Palermo Central Station by train
C
4,50 plus
-
Palermo Central Station -Caltanissetta
by bus is C
7,90
-
Caltanissetta Bus/Train Station-Cefpas is
C 0,80.
Cefpas provides
two bus transfers on the 10th and 11th of september from
Catania's airport to Cefpas at 12.00 and 17.00.
The tickets will be paid on board
and will be around 20 €.
Taxi transportation
Taxis are also available and we could arrange for a taxi to
await guests at the airport. The approximate cost of a taxi
ride from the airports to Caltanissetta and from here to the
airports is:
• Catania Airport-Cefpas:
C 120.00
• Palermo Airport-Cefpas:
C 180.00.
For practical reasons we advise you to fly to
Catania’s airport.
